It has been a week, kids. A. Week. Jesse was out of town for half of it and naturally that half was when the water heater decided to leak and Boogser decided to put slime in his hair. But thanks to a warranty, the Google, and some olive oil, we’re back in business. I’ve already shared this on Instagram stories and the ZPL Facebook page, but I also paid $400 for it so you better believe I’m going to milk it over here, too. . .let’s all just take a minute to bask in this beautiful new water heater.
Moving on. . .it’s been very spring like here the last few days so I’ve picked Boogser up from school a little early so we could hit the park (he climbs the ladder on his own now nbd). Remember when he used to be pumped when I’d pick him up early? Now he sees me walk through the door and instantly tells me, “I don’t want to go home.” I mean, I’m glad he likes school and playing with his friends but damn. Shouldn’t he be at least 5 before dress up, slime, and the Moana soundtrack trump me?
Speaking of Boogser’s disdain for me, last night he was so mad at me that not only did he tell me I was no longer his best friend, I had to sit across the room from him and Jesse while they read a story, and I couldn’t tell Teepee goodnight. What did I do to deserve such a fate? I made him get ready for bed. My mom asked if I was sure he’s not actually a 13 year old girl, and the jury’s still out on that.
Somehow Monday is April, and while I’m slightly devastated to be losing soup season, salad season is upon us and I’ve already been hitting it hard. Saturday I had a salad for lunch and a salad for dinner – one with a side of tots and one with a side of fries. The salad I had for dinner Wednesday came with a side of cheese curds. It’s called balance.
I have weird shaped ear holes so most earbuds fall out as soon as I put them in, but for Christmas, Jesse got me a pair of Bose SoundSport earbuds. . .and they actually stay in my ears! I’ve used them for several runs now, and they haven’t fallen out once. They’re also Bluetooth so I’m not having to do the whole cord down the front of my shirt thing which is also amazing. I actually got Jesse a pair for his birthday for the cord aspect alone (he’s forever getting caught on the kitchen cabinet handles), and he loves them as much as I do so while they’re a little pricey, we both think they’re worth it. Unless you never use earbuds. Then it would be dumb to buy them. Although it looks like they’re on sale right now so maybe you just really like to buy things on sale. I don’t know your life.
